In early May 2024, an Erasmus+ Info Day was held in the common room of the Student Dormitory, organized for students of Virovitica University of Applied Sciences to encourage participation in international exchange opportunities funded by the Erasmus+ mobility programme.
During the event, recent mobility participants gave a presentation on the activities they took part in during their stay in Hannover, Germany. Third-year Entrepreneurship students Ana Blažev, Marija Devald, Daria Ledinski, and Lucija Volenik shared their experiences, along with Destination Management student and Student Council President Filip Betlemović. The event was moderated by Danijela Vakanjac, Head of the International Cooperation Centre.
The presentation focused on the activities organized as part of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) at the partner institution Fachhochschule für die Wirtschaft (FHDW) Hannover (University of Applied Sciences, Hannover).
Since this type of short-term mobility includes both physical and virtual components, students explained that part of the preparatory activities took place online before the in-person mobility in Hannover, which was held from April 22 to 26, 2024. Additional wrap-up activities were conducted online after their return.
In addition to describing the programme, the students shared personal reflections and benefits of their mobility, giving fellow students insight into what motivated them to participate, how they organized their trip, and many other details of their Erasmus+ experience. They emphasized that it was an extremely positive life experience that would contribute greatly to both their professional and personal development—and one they will remember and talk about for years to come.
Of course, the event also included the distribution of engaging promotional materials, and students expressed their appreciation for the inspiring stories shared by their peers.
To conclude, the Erasmus+ programme slogan was highlighted: “Enriching lives, opening minds!”
