Students of Virovitica University of Applied Sciences regularly participate in study visits and activities that allow them to become familiar with professional practice and real-world business environments. As part of such activities, they visited the company Span.
The programme began with the signing of a cooperation agreement, marking the start of a new partnership between Virovitica University of Applied Sciences and Span. The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by Dean Dejan Tubić, PhD. Students had the opportunity to learn more about Span’s operations, with particular emphasis on their Service Desk and its role in supporting complex IT environments. Through a hands-on workshop and a visit to the Service Desk, students gained practical insight into the day-to-day work of IT support.
The visit concluded with a career speed dating event, during which students were able to connect with Span’s professionals and learn more about career development opportunities in the IT sector. The study visit was led by lecturers Danijel Koprivanac, BSc (Eng) and Ivan Benke, MSc (Comp Eng), and was also attended by Vice-Dean Damir Ribić, PhD.
We look forward to the further development of our cooperation and new joint activities that will provide our students with additional opportunities for learning, professional development, and engagement with the IT industry.
