Erasmus+ Enriching Lives, Opening Minds
Erasmus+ is the European Union’s largest programme in the fields of education and training, youth, and sport. For over 35 years, it has been enriching lives and opening minds of millions of citizens across all generations.
Originally launched as a student exchange programme, Erasmus+ has since evolved into an inclusive programme for people of all ages, involving a wide range of organisations from various sectors.
The programme aims to support the educational, professional, and personal development of individuals through lifelong learning in the fields of education, training, youth, and sport across Europe and beyond. It contributes to sustainable growth, job quality, social cohesion, innovation, and strengthening of European identity and active citizenship.
In the current programme period 2021–2027, Erasmus+ focuses on creating equal opportunities for all, promoting inclusive education and society, and fostering sustainable development in line with environmental preservation and digital transformation. The programme is designed to address today’s challenges through innovative solutions and equip participants with the skills of the future.
As part of the Erasmus+ programme, the Virovitica University of Applied Sciences implements student and staff mobility through Key Action 1 – Learning Mobility of Individuals, with two types of projects:
-
- KA131 – Cooperation with programme countries (EU member states + Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkey)
- KA171 – Cooperation with partner countries (all other countries worldwide)
More information on other Erasmus+ activities can be found in the Program Guide and on the websites of the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes and the European Commission.
