As a computer science student at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Skopje, North Macedonia, I decided to take part in Erasmus+ mobility at the Virovitica University of Applied Sciences in Croatia, where I spent the summer semester of 2021/2022.
From the very first day in Virovitica, I was warmly welcomed by everyone at the university. The Erasmus+ coordinator showed me around, explained everything I needed to know, and made sure I had all the essentials for living and studying in Virovitica.
The first few weeks were an intense adjustment to the new environment, but the wonderful people I met helped me feel right at home.
Studying and traveling at the same time was an invaluable experience. The Erasmus+ programme gave me the opportunity to explore new places and meet fun, interesting people.
In addition to traveling and having fun, I learned a lot. The professors were very supportive and helped me overcome any academic challenges. The courses were engaging and useful, especially Cloud Computing, which introduced me to topics and technologies I hadn’t encountered before.
The whole Erasmus+ experience was exciting and educational. My time in Virovitica taught me how to adapt to new people and environments, boosted my self-confidence, and definitely pushed the boundaries of my comfort zone.
