I saw Erasmus+ as a chance to understand how foreign companies operate and compare that to my experience with domestic ones. I was curious about how foreign systems work. It was also an opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, make new connections, improve my language and professional skills, all of which contribute to my career.
I considered several countries but ultimately chose Austria, specifically Graz. Graz was the perfect place for an internship. First, it’s close, so it felt safe. Second, it’s a beautiful city, I felt like a tourist. Third, it offers plenty of job opportunities. Fourth, it’s in a German-speaking region, and knowledge of German is a huge plus in the job market. Finally, it’s a student city with nearly 60,000 students, full of opportunities for young people.
As for the internship itself, I was very satisfied. I worked for a company with serious clients, some well-known across Europe. I was involved in real tasks and projects. They even offered me a job afterward, which says it all.
