Our staff members, Željka Kadlec and Martina Jukić, spent seven incredibly enriching and inspiring days from July 13 to 19, 2025, at Trinity College in Dublin, as part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme. They participated in an intensive professional development course conducted in English, with a focus on the application of well-being and mindfulness in education. The programme covered topics such as providing emotional support to students, fostering interconnectedness, encouraging open communication about mental health, and using simple yet effective breathing and calming techniques.
Special emphasis was placed on creating classrooms and educational environments as safe spaces where trust, understanding, and a sense of belonging can flourish. Through a series of practical workshops, study visits, and the exchange of experiences with colleagues from other countries, the participants enhanced their professional competencies and acquired practical tools they can apply in their daily work.
This Erasmus+ experience was more than just education — it was a personal and professional journey that transformed their perspective on learning, teaching, and human relationships in education. The connections made, the exchange of ideas, and the new insights gained have left a lasting impression and will be a valuable resource in future work with colleagues and students.
