On July 9, 2025, Virovitica University of Applied Sciences hosted an Erasmus+ dissemination event for its staff. During the event, employees shared their experiences from recently completed mobilities within the Erasmus+ programme during this semester. Key activities and impressions were presented from visits to partner institutions in Sarajevo, Mostar, Karlsruhe, and Naples, with special emphasis on the importance of internationalisation, strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, and personal professional development.
As part of the KA171 project, the visits to Sarajevo focused on enhancing institutional cooperation and planning concrete steps for future collaboration aimed at fostering staff and student mobility. Initial steps were also coordinated for cooperation through Erasmus+ and CEEPUS projects. In Mostar, the mobilities highlighted interactive lectures and workshops at the university, with topics such as communication styles, active listening, and teamwork generating great interest among both students and faculty.
Mobilities under the KA131 project, involving programme countries, enabled participation in the 4th International Week at Suor Orsola Benincasa University in Naples, Italy, and the Staff Week at DHBW Karlsruhe, Germany. These events included lectures, workshops, and group activities, which provided valuable opportunities for exchanging ideas and best practices with colleagues from across Europe.
Additionally, attendees heard experiences from VUV staff who hosted incoming teaching staff from the partner institution in České Budějovice. This exchange led to the creation of a new Internal Instruction Manual for VUV’s internal quality assurance and enhancement system. The manual outlines the duties, responsibilities, and guidelines for employees designated as hosts for incoming staff. As recognition, this year’s hosts received a Certificate of Appreciation for their selfless support and professional hosting during the 2024/2025 academic year under the Erasmus+ programme.
Dissemination participants emphasized the value of such mobilities, not only for professional development and international visibility of the institution, but also for fostering tangible partnerships that lead to new projects, exchanges, and development of educational content.
We thank all participants for sharing their experiences and invite all interested staff to take part in upcoming Erasmus+ activities and seize the opportunity for personal and professional growth through international cooperation.
